Adenza Market is a frozen seafood store on Argyle Street in Fawkner, in Melbourne's inner north, started by Yusuf Ayad. The shop exists for kitchens with a small freezer and no car: a bag of squid rings, a box of crab, a couple of tuna steaks, bought once and cooked across a fortnight.

Nine products cover what we actually eat here: squid rings, whole octopus, brown crab, crayfish tails, tuna steak, sole, small sea fish, sea cucumber and a mixed family box that puts several of them together. The list stays short so that every product can be described properly on its own page.

Why we sell seafood frozen

Frozen is the honest way to sell seafood to a small household: you buy the weight you will actually cook, and nothing is wasted because a fillet had to be used within two days of a market trip.

How an order is packed and sent

A compact insulated liner, dry gel ice and a double-walled carton, sized so a small order is not loose in a large box. The dispatch date is written on the label so you can see how long the parcel has been travelling. Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days and delivery is estimated at 7 to 14 business days depending on where you are in Australia. Tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves Fawkner.

We pack to order at Argyle Street, label the net weight, and send everything with tracking. Collection is possible by arrangement; write to us first so the order is packed and waiting in the freezer rather than being assembled while you stand at the door.
